Markus Persson (Notch), co-founder of Mojang Studio and the mind behind Minecraft. He is Swedish and was born in 1979.  A curious fact about him, he developed his first game (a text-based adventure) when he was eight, and hasn’t stopped making games until now. Before Minecraft, he worked for and Jalbum, after leaving the latter he started to work on the Minecraft prototype and after a while, he found Mojang Studio alongside Carl Manneh and Jakob Porser. He has gained significant notability within the video game industry, having won multiple awards and establishing relations with the industry’s figureheads.

When Microsoft bought Mojang Studio he left the company. Now he is working in a project called  0x10c and if you are lucky, you can see him participating the next Ludum Dare.
